Megan is a board certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of experience providing holistic, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults. At Breakwater Psychiatry Megan provides psychopharmacology (medication management) of mental health conditions to patients ages 12-55 years of age via in-person and telehealth appointments.
Her style is collaborative and goal oriented, she will work with you to improve the symptoms you or your adolescent are finding most challenging in life. Megan strives to provide a therapeutic relationship- meaning one that feels authentic and safe for you to discuss your feelings and concerns.
Megan empowers her patients by encouraging their active participation in treatment, discussing treatment options and providing education on their diagnosis. Because medication is often only part of the solution, she provides information and referrals for supportive care and psychotherapy as needed.
While she has extensive experience working with adults of all ages, Megan has a passion for working with young adults, adolescents and new parents due to the unique challenges and opportunities these stages of life bring. Additionally, she is honored to provide care to LGBTQ+ clients, who often experience unique challenges and disparities effecting their mental health.
